AUCKLAND, New Zealand - We take a close look as a host of Auckland City FC players are fast approaching key milestones in their playing careers with the club.
200 GAMES (and 100 goals)
Striker Ryan De Vries closes in on two key milestones with the former All Whites striker on 192 matches and 98 goals. Only one player has scored more goals for the club with Emiliano Tade ending his City career with 152 goals in 242 appearances. Ahead of De Vries in the most matches stakes are Tade (242), Angel Berlanga (229) and another former All White in James Pritchett (203), the latter the first player to break the double century for the club.
Cam Howieson (183) is another for whom the 200 barrier beckons.
100 GAMES
Goalkeeper Conor Tracey made his debut for Auckland City FC in December 2017 in a 0-0 draw with Al-Ittihad (UAE) in Dubai just prior to the FIFA Club World Cup. Tracey is three games short of his 100th appearance for the club which would equal the record for goalkeepers currently held by former All Whites stopper Ross Nicholson (100). Another former All White, Jacob Spoonley, made 99 appearances a sequence that earned him a bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco in 2014. Tracey currently holds the record for most clean sheets of any Navy Blues keeper with 47 shut outs, a record previously held by Enaut Zubikarai which he equalled on 1 October 2023 in a 1-0 over Manurewa in the National League Championship.
Striker Angus Kilkolly is on 98 appearances just two shy of the century mark. Only 25 out of 240 players across 20 years have achieved triple figures with Kilkolly also netting 52 goals for the club ranking him fourth in the list of all-time top scorers behind Tade (152), De Vries (98), Grant Young (66) and Keryn Jordan (62).
Joe Lee (85) has scored 20 goals for the club over the course of two seasons with the promise of many more to come.
50 GOALS
New Zealand Futsal, Navy Blues Futsal and Auckland City FC regular Dylan Manickum is within touching distance of his 50th goal for the club. Manickum, on 47 goals, could become the seventh player in club history to smash the half-century mark, a record compiled across 127 games to date.
50 GAMES
Christian Gray (47), Regont Murati (40) and Tong Zhou (38) are closing in on 50 matches for Auckland City FC. 61 players have reached the milestone previously.
